The Chattogram Challengers won their previous match against the Sylhet Sunrisers in a pretty emphatic fashion. Will Jacks scored 92 and was at his destructive best as he helped the Challengers chase down 186. His form is very important for the Chattogram Challengers and he is going to set the pace for the team at the top.
If we take a look at the batting order after him, there does seem to be a lack of quality and depth in comparison to the Khulna Tigers. Afif Hossain and Chadwick Walton are perhaps the only real other batsmen of note in this lineup with the all-rounders filling up the rest of the places.
There is also a definite lack of power in the middle order. If Jacks get out cheaply, we think the Chattogram Challengers could find it difficult to get to a defendable total.
Shoriful Islam, Mehidy Hasan, and Benny Howell are the core of the bowling attack. We rate all three of them quite highly and it appears as if they have to do well for the Chattogram Challengers to have a chance in this contest.
Betting on one of Shoriful Islam or Benny Howell to be the top wicket-taker for the Chattogram Challengers in this match is not a bad idea.
KHULNA TIGERS
The Khulna Tigers had to win their previous match against the Comilla Victorians to qualify for the BPL 2021-22 playoffs and that is exactly what they did. Andre Fletcher has had a superb series and he smashed 101 in the previous game as well. He and Mahedi Hasan had an opening partnership of 182 so it is safe to say that they will open the batting once more.
Soumya Sarkar, Yasir Ali, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Thisara Perera form a much stronger batting lineup in comparison to the Chattogram Challengers. From a betting perspective, you should look to bet on the Khulna Tigers in most of the batting markets (Most Fours, Most Sixes, and Team with Top Run Getter).
While the clear advantage lies with the Khulna Tigers in the batting department, the same cannot be said for the same with regard to their bowling. Mahedi Hasan, Khaled Ahmed, and Thisara Perera have been the most successful bowlers for the Khulna Tigers so far but neither of them is particularly impressive.
They did add Naveen ul Haq to their lineup and that makes it a bit better balanced in our opinion.
