India’s three-match ODI series against Australia is about to begin today in Mumbai. The BCCI confirmed earlier that Rohit Sharma would not be available for the first game due to personal commitments. A recent video of the Indian skipper dancing with his wife Ritika at her brother’s wedding has gone viral on social media.

In the video, the Indian skipper is seen grooving on the stage alongside his wife, Ritika, and his brother-in-law. It now seems clear that the Indian skipper took leave from the first ODI to attend his brother-in-law’s wedding. Meanwhile, Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been announced as the stand-in skipper for the first ODI. Rohit Sharma is expected to return for the second and third ODI.

Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, India grabbed the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for the fourth time in a row and would be willing to showcase similar kind of performance in the ongoing ODIs. Talking of Rohit’s form, he returned as India’s third-highest run-getter in the series after Virat Kohli and Axar Patel with 242 runs to his name. He smashed a brilliant century in the opening Test in Nagpur which India eventually won by an innings and 132 runs.
