The surface at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will definitely favour the batters and thus, a high-scoring game is expected when Gujarat Titans take on Mumbai Indians on May 26 in Qulaifier 2. 

Notably, Mumbai batters are in remarkable form at the moment with Suryakuamr Yadav and Cameron Green leading the batting order while when it comes to the Hardik Pandya-led side, Shubman Gill has been phenomenal, to say the least.

Ishan Kishan

Stumper-batter Ishan Kishan has had a mixed season so far. He didn’t start very well but over the course of the season, he has developed and has proved to be one of the dependable batters for the franchise. In 15 matches so far, the 24-year-old has 454 runs at a strike rate of 142.76 and in Ahmedabad, where the ball will come nicely onto the bat, Kishan can once again wreak havoc.

Suryakumar Yadav

The flamboyant batter Suryakumar Yadav was heavily criticised during the initial phase of IPL 2023 as he was unable to get going time and again. However, the cricketer changed his fortune and currently has 544 runs to his name in 15 matches. With that, he is currently seventh in the IPL Orange Cap race and will be extremely important for Mumbai in Qualifier 2.

Shubman Gill

The young opener has been a force to reckon with this season. In the last three matches, the 23-year-old has hit two centuries and that shows the kind of form he is in at the moment. Overall, the Punjab-born cricketer has scored 722 runs in 15 matches and with that, he is currently second in the IPL Orange Cap race. At a time when the majority of GT batters are struggling to get going, Gill will have to take a lot of responsibility against a formidable bowling unit of Mumbai.
