With the 16th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 scheduled to begin on March 31, all eyes will be on the various franchises competing for the coveted 2023 IPL title. One of the most successful teams in the competition, Chennai Super Kings, will once again look to go all the way and win their fifth title.

CSK will take on Gujarat Titans in the season opener of the tournament at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 31. At the 2023 IPL Auction, the team roped in many big names like Ben Stokes and Ajinkya Rahane. Ahead of the start of the tournament, let us have a look at three players to watch out for from CSK.

3. Moeen Ali

English all-rounder Moeen Ali has been an impactful player over the years. In the 44 IPL matches that he played so far, he boasts a record of 910 runs. He has been impressive with the ball as well, taking 24 wickets. CSK will hope that he can come through for them at the 2023 IPL as well and eventually lead them to their fifth title. 

2. Deepak Chahar

Deepak Chahar is expected to be fit for the upcoming IPL season. The Indian pacer has been dealing with injuries for quite some time now. In 63 IPL matches, Chahar has taken 59 wickets with an economy rate of 7.8, and the 30-year-old could prove to be key for CSK if he manages to regain his form and comeback from injury.

English all-rounder Ben Stokes was the marquee signing for CSK in the 2023 IPL Auction The franchise broke the bank for the England star, and he will be expected to come through for his side and be one of the best performers in the team. In the 43 matches that Stokes has played in the IPL so far, he has notched up 920 runs and taken 28 wickets as well.
