The Asia Cup 2023 has been quite unique; with both Pakistan and Sri Lanka co-hosting the proceedings, it has been a given that many sides have had to travel quite a lot from Pakistan to Sri Lanka in order to play their matches.
The same has been the case for Babar Azam-led Pakistan. Pakistan played the first game of the Asia Cup 2023 against Nepal in Kandy. Ahead of the start of the competition, the side travelled from Hambantota to Colombo by road on August 25. Followed it up by taking a flight from Colombo to Multan on August 27, went to Lahore from Multan on the same day.
Furthermore, to begin their Asia Cup campaign, the side travelled from Multan to Colombo by flight on August 30 and went to Pallekele to take on Nepal on August 31.
In similar fashion, the side has been travelling a lot, and that is bound to take a toll on the players. With the Asia Cup 2023 final scheduled on September 17, the ODI World Cup 2023, there is even more travel in the books for Pakistan.
