Sajid’s delivery sharply spun inwards, beating Potts on the inside edge and sneaking between his legs to disturb the stumps. Potts, who was looking to work the ball towards the leg side, was left in utter disbelief after his dismissal. With this wicket, Sajid claimed his sixth scalp of the innings, showcasing his complete dominance over the English batter. Potts was dismissed for 6 off 10 balls, including one boundary.

Sajid was the star of Pakistan’s bowling attack, putting up a dominant performance in England’s first innings. The right-arm off-spinner picked up an impressive seven-wicket haul. His clever variations and ability to extract sharp turn from the pitch proved to be a nightmare for England’s batters, who struggled to handle his spin.

Pakistan takes a solid lead in the first innings
Despite the collapse, England’s innings wasn’t without moments of brilliance. The highlight of their batting effort was Ben Duckett’s brilliant knock of 114 off 129 balls, which included 16 fours.
After being bowled out for 366 in their first innings, Pakistan gained a significant 75-run lead over England. While England came into this match with confidence following their victory in the first Test, Pakistan’s bowlers especially Sajid ensured that the visitors couldn’t capitalize on their early momentum. With a 75-run cushion, Pakistan will now look to pile on the runs in their second innings and set England a challenging target to chase.
