Left-handed opening batter Abhishek Sharma smashed his maiden century, leading India to a commanding 100-run win over Zimbabwe in the second T20I of the five-match series at Harare Sports Club.

46-ball hundred for Abhishek Sharma

Playing in only his second international match, Abhishek rebounded spectacularly after recording a duck in his debut during the series opener. His scintillating 46-ball century marked the joint third-fastest ton by an Indian in T20I cricket and made him the fourth-youngest Indian to achieve this milestone in the shortest format.

Abhishek’s explosive knock included 7 fours and 8 sixes, propelling him alongside KL Rahul, who also scored a 46-ball century against West Indies in 2016. Abhishek’s performance has positioned him among some of India’s finest in T20I history.
