5/68 and 5/85 vs Australia (2017)

In the first Test of Australia’s tour of Bangladesh, Shakib Al Hasan was exceptional for the hosts as Bangladesh sealed a historic win over the Aussies. Batting first, Shakib scored 84 runs and helped Bangladesh score 260 runs in the first innings. The all-rounder followed it up by taking a fifer in the first innings and conceding 68 runs in the process. After being dismissed early in the second innings, Shakib followed it up with yet another fifer in the second innings to propel Bangladesh to a win by 20 runs.

217 vs New Zealand (2017)

One of the greatest knocks of Shakib’s career came when Bangladesh took on New Zealand in a Test series. In the first game, the visitors displayed a marvellous showing with the bat as they notched up 595 runs on the board. Shakib’s knock of 217 runs was influential for Bangladesh; however, the visitors were unable to win the game as New Zealand won it by seven wickets.

124* vs West Indies (2019)

Back in the 2019 ODI World Cup, Bangladesh took on the West Indies in the 23rd match of the tournament. Batting first, the Windies notched up 321 runs on the board, and Shakib put in an impressive performance as he struck twice, sending Evin Lewis and Nicholas Pooran back to the pavilion. During the run chase, the all-rounder followed it up with a sensational knock of 124* to successfully chase the target and propel Bangladesh to victory.
