Ramon Menezes, the manager of Brazil, believes that Vitor Roque will succeed at Barcelona. Roque will sign a contract with Barca for about €61 million, without add-ons, this summer.

In 2024, the striker will make his club debut. One of Brazilian football’s most anticipated prospects is Roque. Regarding the child, Menezes stated to Diario AS as he said, “I see Vitor Roque becoming one of the top players in the world. We have high hopes for him and placed a lot of trust in him. He’s never lost what’s best about him, hunger, appetite and always wanting more and more.”

Roque has been giving his current team Athletico Paranense extremely high-caliber performances. He has so far played a total of 41 matches for the Brazilian club, scoring 20 goals and dishing out 8 assists.

The signing of the teenager has Barcelona supporters happy since it is widely believed that Roque might someday surpass Robert Lewandowski, who is showing symptoms that age might be finally hitting him this season. Before replacing Lewandowski, Roque may even play with the Polish striker in Barça’s attack when he joins the following year.

FC Barcelona advisor slams Ousmane Dembele

This summer, Ousmane Dembele returned to Ligue 1 after a €50.4 million transfer from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain. Dembele’s time at Barcelona was marred by injuries. Since joining the club in 2017, the Frenchman has made 185 appearances, making 40 goals and 43 assists in various competitions.

Enric Masip, the adviser to Barca president Joan Laporta, has nevertheless launched a harsh criticism of Dembele for pressuring a transfer away from the club. Masip spoke on the subject, as reported by Barca Universal. He said, “I like good players, but I prefer committed players. He has already demonstrated his lack of commitment when he did not renew. I prefer a player who gives me a 7/10 or an 8/10 performance to one who gives me a 10/10 and two days later goes to another team to earn more.”
