Piers Morgan, a British presenter, made fun of Manchester United after their historic loss to Liverpool on Sunday, 5 March. In their Premier League match against the Reds, United received a 7-0 thumping at Anfield. That was their most crushing loss in 92 years and their worst defeat in the Premier League era.

Before Roberto Firmino put the finishing touches on the rout with a late goal, Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez, and Mohamed Salah each scored twice. Morgan, a passionate supporter of Arsenal for his entire life and a close friend of Cristiano Ronaldo, used the opportunity to make several jabs at Erik ten Hag’s team via Twitter.

Following their EFL Cup victory last Sunday, Morgan posted a picture of Ten Hag dancing with Lisandro Martinez and Antony (26 February).

“Don’t think we’ll see any dancing tonight,” he captioned the post.

He then shared a Sportsmail story on Ten Hag’s assertions that he is not worried about Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure.

“Good luck with your sleep tonight, genius,” wrote the caption along with the image and posted.

You wouldn’t be happy with him in that dressing room: Rob Keane

Also, he posted a picture of Sir Alex Ferguson and Cristiano Ronaldo posing in United jerseys. The image featured one of the Portuguese player’s heated interviews with Morgan’s statements. Finally, the TalkTV host stated that United was being punished by karma for terminating Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract in November after the interview was made public. He shared the image along with Ronaldo with the caption “Funny thing, karma”.

Cristiano Ronaldo said in his interview with Morgan that Ten Hag did not treat him with respect and that the club’s owners were not committed to making United great once more. He urged the team to overtake its opponents and restore its former position as one of the greatest in the world.

A Manchester United legend, Roy Keane was unhappy with Bruno Fernandes’ demeanor after Sunday’s loss to Liverpool. Keane remarked on Fernandes’ lack of effort when his side needed him and how he complained and clashed with the referee for much of the second half.

“Fernandes’ body language today was disgraceful. A really talented boy, he’s your captain – so much talent – but the body language, waving his arms around and not running back, you wouldn’t be happy with him in that dressing room, let me tell you,” Keane was quoted as saying on Manchester Evening News.
