Despite being concerned about the immediate futures of Jadon Sancho as well as Antony, Manchester United is allegedly not interested in acquiring free agent Anwar El Ghazi.

According to Laurie Whitwell of The Athletic, the Red Devils turned down a contract offer from El Ghazi’s agency. Following his mutually agreed upon departure from PSV Eindhoven this summer, the 28-year-old was available.

Sancho and Antony provide Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, with two problems at the right wing. Given the uncertainty surrounding both players’ futures with the club, the Dutch coach could possibly turn to Facundo Pellistri.

After being publicly criticised by his manager for doing poorly in training, Sancho got into an argument with Ten Hag.

The English winger responded by rejecting this and said he was being used as a scapegoat on his X (previously Twitter) account.

Although there have allegedly been talks between the two, the issues have not been resolved. According to reports, Sancho wants to go in January, maybe on loan with an eye towards a permanent transfer.

Since there is an ongoing investigation into charges of abuse against his former spouse, Antony is currently on a leave of absence. The Brazilian winger can spend several months away from the team.

El Ghazi was therefore mentioned as a possibility to sign with Manchester United as a potential free agent in order to assist them with more options on the flank. In 31 appearances across competitions during his time with PSV last season, he scored nine goals and provided two assists.

The Dutch attacker has expertise in the Premier League after playing in the league for Everton as well as Aston Villa. Considering this, Ten Hag is prepared to trust Pellistri, who has been patiently waiting for his day to shine. Mason Mount and Bruno Fernandes are further candidates for the right-wing position.
