The Kabaddi is fast becoming a sport that is attracting viewership and this comes on the back of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), with fans claiming that the generation today is slowly getting back to its roots. However, the women’s kabaddi still remains to be sorted, as cases of sexual harassment keep popping out on frequent occasions.

That being said, based on a complaint received from a 27-year-old kabaddi player, an FIR was registered by the Delhi police as the women star accused her coach of sexually harassing and threatening to leak her private pictures. Baba Haridas Nagar police station will take on the issue further and investigations are simultaneously on, regarding the allegations.

In a shocking revelation, the women’s kabaddi player revealed that her coach forced him on her without her consent during her preparations for the Hirankudna competition in West Delhi way back in 2012. In addition to it, she revealed that the coach forced sexual relations with him despite the former rejecting the approach on various occasions in 2015.

Kabaddi player’s statement being recorded against accused Joginder

After making accusations against the coach Joginder, the kabaddi star joined the investigation on February 6, Monday and the officials reportedly formed a team to arrest the accused. With an FIR under sections 376 for rape and 506 for criminal intimidation registered, the star would hope for justice to be served at the earliest.

It was not it as she further accused Joginder of forcefully getting money from her after she won a competition in 2018. An amount of INR 43.5 lakh was transferred to his account and this was taken into consideration during the FIR was registered.

It was not so long ago when the wrestlers came together in January to protest against the sexual harassment happening at the top brass of the Wrestling Federation of India. However, the protests were called off due to the quick intervention of the Indian government and subsequently, a committee was formed to investigate the allegations made by the wrestlers.
