In an attempt to help the Gujarat Giants break their trophy drought, star raider Rohit Gulia declared he is prepared to give the Pro Kabaddi League campaign his all. If the Ahmedabad-based team is to win the prized PKL trophy, the raider will need to be a major player.
The Pro Kabaddi League’s season opening will see the Gujarat Giants against the Telugu Titans. The Pro Kabaddi League opening leg will be held at the Arena by Transstadia Stadium in Ahmedabad, therefore they will be playing in front of their home audience.
Gulia talked about the team’s off-season preparations. He talked about how the team members are working hard in preparation for the next season. According to a release, he said, “In light of our previous Pro Kabaddi League results, we are giving it all into our preparations this year. Coach Ram Mehar Singh is also assisting the squad in communicating our roles better.”
The raider also discussed the team’s growth over the years and the prior seasons. He expressed the team’s excitement for the next campaign. He said, “Given our performance trajectory has only risen in the previous seasons, we are enthusiastic about turning the tables this time around as we have a great combination of young and experienced played in our roster.”
The raider for the Gujarat Giants also talked about playing in front of his local audience. He claimed that seeing supporters of the squad inspires him. He added, “It is always an inspiration when fans come to support the Adani Gujarat Giants in big numbers. When I play in front of the home crowd, I feel a surge of energy to perform for my team.”
For the very first time in their existence, the Gujarat Giants will be attempting to lift the Pro Kabaddi League championship. They made it to the final twice and were only one win away from taking home the championship.
