Jharkhand continue their dream run in the 69th Senior National Women’s Kabaddi Championship

On the day-3 of the 69th Senior National Women’s Kabaddi Championship, Jharkhand continued their dream run as they made it to the semifinals of the tournament. Jharkhand, in a close encounter, beat Maharashtra by 35-33 to advance into the Semifinals. On the other hand, hosts Haryana and defending champions Himachal Pradesh, along with Rajasthan, also made it into the semis of the event.

Earlier, starting the day, Himachal Pradesh outplayed Bihar in the round of 16 games. Himachal beat Bihar by a huge margin of 59-13. With this victory, Himachal made it into the quarterfinals and faced Punjab there. In quarters, Himachal, once again, outplayed the opponent with an amazing team effort. They beat Punjab by 46-15 and advanced into the semis. Earlier, Harwindar Kaur led-Punjab had defeated Gujarat by 42-28 to move ahead in the tournament.

In other games of the round of 16, star-studded Maharashtra beat Goa by 49-32, while Jharkhand beat West Bengal by the barest margin of one point in the last moments of the game. Notably, in the league stage, Jharkhand has managed to beat host Haryana with a miraculous performance.

Meanwhile, in the second half of the day, Indian Railways thrashed Karnataka as they beat a team from the South by a huge margin of 31 points. The final score stands at 52-21. They advanced to the quarters to face hosts Haryana, who comfortably beat Tamil Nadu in the round of 16. The hosts defeated Tamil Nadu by a huge margin of 46-17. In the round of 16, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan also beat their respective opponents by 32-30 and 52-20, respectively.

Himachal, Haryana outplayed opponents in the quarterfinals 

In the semi-finals of the 69th Senior National Women’s Kabaddi Championship, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana continued their dominance. Both teams outplayed their opponents on the mat and registered comfortable wins. Haryana beat Indian Railways by 38-23, while Himachal Pradesh beat Punjab by 46-15 in the quarters.

Meanwhile, Jharkhand continued their dream run as they beat star-studded Maharashtra to make it into the semis. They defeated the team from the West by 35-33. On the other hand, Rajasthan beat UP by 34-14 to move ahead in the tournament. On day 4 of the event, Himachal Pradesh will take on Jharkhand in the first semi-final, while Haryana will square off against Rajasthan in the second semi-final.
