Pro Kabaddi League has been one of the most celebrated sporting events in the world. It has pushed the India-originated game beyond the borders and has been India’s second most-watched sporting league after Indian T20 League. PKL has provided a brilliant platform for young talents to shine and grow with the help of their skills. Although there have been some extraordinary moments which have caught the eyes of netizens. Today, we will discuss the top three moments of PKL history.

3. Patna Pirates Hat-trick of titles, 2017

Patna Pirates are the most successful team in Pro Kabaddi League. The team has been phenomenal in the initial seasons of the game when they clinched the championship in three consecutive seasons. In 2017 Pirates leadership of Coach Ram Mehar Singh and star raider Pradeep Narwal beat Gujrat Fortune Giants (now Gujarat Giants) by the margin of 55-38.

In the finals, Pradeep starred for the Pirates with his amazing 19 points. He was well supported by Monu Goyat. Earlier in seasons Three and four the duo of Pradeep Narwal and Ram Mehar Singh led Pirates to Glory.

2. Pawan Sehrawat’s incredible 6-ft High Jump

Young raiding sensation Pawan Sehrawat has been phenomenal throughout his Pro Kabaddi League career. He has been the go-to raider for Bengaluru Bulls and has led them to Glory. In season 6 of the tournament, Pawan’s incredible frog jump amazed netizens and earned him the nickname of “high-flyer.”

In the second half of the game Bulls were trailing the Pirates by 20-23. Pawan who has been phenomenal for the Bulls in season 6 went to lower the deficit. He charged towards the centre defence of the Pirates when Corner defender Ravindra Kumar came with a chain to block him. Pawan didn’t have spare time to show any skills like Dubki or duck.

The odds were stacked against Sehrawat in this situation. The options for Sehrawat’s escape were bleak. Perhaps he would have to fly over the defender and he did it. Pawan illustrated a six feet high frog jump to escape and shocked everyone.

1. Pradeep Narwal’s Eight-point raid

Pradeep Narwal is the greatest raider in the history of PKL. He has achieved various feats in his professional career and has been one of the most decorated players in the game. Pradeep has done many super raids, but hardly any Kabaddi fan would have forgotten his super raid against Haryana Steelers in season 5.

Playing for Patna Pirates what Pradeep did was unimaginable on the mat. Dubki King sent the entire team out of the mat in a single raid. During this, he got 6 points for dismissing as many players and two points for all-out. It has never happened in the history of Kabaddi that a player has scored 8 points in a single raid. Pradeep showed a similar glimpse again in 2022 while representing UP Yoddhas.
