The Yuva Kabaddi Series Monsoon Edition 2023 is underway after the tournament kicked off on Sunday, September 29. The tournament will be played till Sunday, October 22. Notably, it is the sixth edition of this tournament to find some young and aspiring Kabaddi talents throughout the entire parts of India.
The tournament is speculated to achieve the participation of almost or more than 300 players from the 16 different states of India. A total of 132 matches will be played in the tournament among the 16 participating teams. The tournament is also famous among the Indian sporting fraternity as YKS.
The participating 16 teams in the tournament will include the likes of Aravalli Arrows, Himalayan Tahrs, Sindh Sonics, Kaziranga Rhinos, Hampi Heroes, Chambal Challengers, Maurya Mavericks, Panchala Pride, Tadoba Tigers, Maratha Marvels, Palani Tuskers, Periyar Panthers, Chola Veerans, Murthal Magnets, Vijayanagara Veers, and Nilgiri Knights.
The tournament will be played in six different rounds, the bottom teams from each round will be knocked out of the tournament after the end of the respective round. The rounds in the tournament will be known as the Challenger Round, Promotion Round, Regelation Round, Survival Round, Booster Round, and the last but not the least, Summit Round.
Fatima College Indoor Stadium of Madurai will be hosting all the matches of this Monsoon Edition 2023 of the Yuva Kabaddi Series. The point distribution after every match will depend on the difference of the points or the margin of victory earned by the wining team; it will award them either five or six points, depending on the difference of points they have with the losing team.
