IPL 2025 Auction Date and Venue
The mega auction for the IPL 2025 edition will be held on November 24 and November 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This will be the second auction to be held outside India.
So many players registered for IPL 2025 Auction
A total of 1,574 players have registered for the IPL 2025 auction, including 1,165 Indian and 409 foreign players. Of the total players who have signed up, 320 are capped, 1,224 are uncapped and 30 are from associate countries. Only 204 players are going to be lucky in the upcoming mega auction.

- Punjab Kings (PBKS): Rs 110.50 crore
- Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB): Rs 83 crore
- Delhi Capitals (DC): Rs 73 crore
- Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Gujarat Titans (GT) : Rs 69 crore
- Chennai Super Kings (CSK) : Rs 55 crore
- Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) : Rs 51 crore
- Mumbai Indians (MI) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) : Rs 45 crore
- Rajasthan Royals (RR) : Rs 41 crore (lowest purse)
After the deadline day, Punjab Kings have Rs 110.50 crore left. Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans have Rs 69 crore left. The same is the case with Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad, both of whom have Rs 45 crore left. Royal Challengers Bangalore have the second-highest purse (Rs 83 crore) left for the mega auction, while Rajasthan Royals have the least purse (Rs 41 crore). Chennai Super Kings have Rs 55 crore left, while defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders have Rs 51 crore. Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, have Rs 73 crore left.
New Bidding Rules for IPL 2025 Auction:
For this year’s auction, the new bidding rules may be something like this
- Base price Rs 30 lakh to Rs 1 crore: Bid will be in increments of Rs 5 lakh.
- Base price Rs 1 crore to Rs 2 crore: Bid will be in increments of Rs 10 lakh.
- Base price Rs 2 crore to Rs 10 crore: Bid will be in increments of Rs 20 lakh.
- Base price Rs 10 crore or more: The bid will increase by Rs 50 lakh until the player is finally selected.
For a player whose base price is between Rs 30 lakh and Rs 1 crore, the bidding price will increase by Rs 5 lakh. Similarly, for players with base prices between Rs 1 crore and Rs 2 crore and Rs 2 crore and Rs 10 crore, the bidding price will increase by Rs 10 lakh and Rs 20 lakh respectively. On the other hand, for a player who has registered his base price as Rs 10 crore or more, his bid will increase by Rs 50 lakh until a team adds him to the roster.
