The Indian Premier League season 16 will continue to entertain the fans on Tuesday, April 18 as Mumbai Indians will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 25 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. Both teams are coming into the game having won their previous two encounters.
Mumbai Indians are placed on the eighth spot in the points table having won two out of four matches so far while SRH are on the ninth spot with two wins to their name in four matches as well.
Mumbai started their campaign with an eight-wicket loss against Royal Challengers Bangalore and further lost their second encounter against Chennai Super Kings by seven wickets.
The Rohit Sharma-led side tasted their first win against Delhi Capitals as they chased down the target of 173 courtesy of a captain’s knock from Rohit. The five-time champions further defeated KKR by five wickets in their fourth encounter chasing down 186 with 14 balls to spare.
Tilak Varma is the leading run-scorer for MI so far in the tournament with 177 runs to his name in four innings. With the ball, Piyush Chawla is the leading wicket-taker with five wickets to his name in four innings.
On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad also suffered two massive defeats back-to-back to start their campaign. They lost their first game against Rajasthan Royals by 72 runs and were hammered by five wickets in their second encounter against Lucknow Super Giants.
However, they scripted a remarkable comeback in their third fixture against Punjab Kings winning the game by eight wickets and further won their fourth game against KKR by 23 runs.
Harry Brook scored a sensational hundred for SRH against KKR and is the leading run-scorer for the side with 129 runs to his name while Mayank Markande is the leading wicket-taker with six wickets to his name.
Both teams have brought their campaign back on track with consecutive wins in the last two fixtures and will look to complete a hat-trick of wins when they face each other.
