Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) will square off in the 66th match of the 2023 Indian Premier League at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala, on Friday, May 19.
In their first meeting of the ongoing season, PBKS defeated RR by a margin of five runs at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati, on April 5. RR skipper Sanju Samson won the toss and invited PBKS to bat first. Prabhsimran Singh (60) and Shikhar Dhawan (86*) scored excellent half-centuries as PBKS posted 197 on the board for RR to chase.
In the second innings, PBKS restricted RR to 192 and registered a five-run win over the hosts. RR skipper Sanju Samson (42 off 25), Shimron Hetmyer (36 off 18), and Dhruv Jurel (32* off 15) played brilliant innings but failed to help their side chase down the target.

Yashasvi Jaiswal
The young RR opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is the third highest-run scorer in the ongoing IPL season. The 21-year-old has scored 575 runs from 13 matches at an average of 47.91 and a strike rate of 166.18. He has four half-centuries and a century to his name this season.
Prabhsimran Singh
PBKS opener Prabhsimran Singh is the joint highest run-scorer in the Punjab team alongside skipper Shikhar Dhawan. He has amassed 356 runs in 13 innings at an average of 27.38 and a strike rate of 150.84. He has scored a half-century and a century so far this season.
Yuzvendra Chahal
The India spinner Yuzvendra Chahal currently holds third place on the IPL 2023 Purple Cap list. The last season’s purple cap winner has already picked up 21 wickets from 13 matches at an average of 18.66 and an economy rate of 8.02.
