Kabaddi slowly and gradually has attracted a lot of fans in recent times with the incarnation of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). The game which was majorly limited or well known to people living in rural area have now reached the urban areas and people of these areas are talking as well as involving with India’s very own game.
The wait is finally for the next edition of the Yuva Kabaddi Series which is set to make a comeback from June 17. The tournament attracted a lot of fans in its previous edition and since then the fans have been vouching for its next edition as well.
The official handle of Yuva Kabaddi Series recently posted “The wait is over we are coming back with another edition of the action, the intensity, the celebration, and most importantly the entertainment of epic matches.
Mark your calendars & gear up for the YKS 2023 Summer edition.”
Hampi Heroes, Sindh Sonics, Aravalli Arrows, Periyar Panthers, Chola Veerans, Kaziranga Rhinos, Palani Tuskers, Chambal Challengers, and Nilgiri Knights will be the team who will be competing in the Yuva Kabaddi Series Summer Edition from June 17 to July 19. The month-long event will see nine teams battling it out for the prestigious trophy.

India have primitively been one of the primary forces to reckon with in the Kabaddi Arena and will be certainly one of the favorites to win the forthcoming 11th Asian Kabaddi Championship 2023. The event is scheduled to be held in Busan, South Korea from June 27 to 30, 2023. It was to the surprise that the most successful raider in PKL history, Pardeep Narwal, and the former captain of the Indian team, Deepak Nivas Hooda were not picked into the squad.
Also, along with that the Most Valuable Player of season 9 of the PKL was selected into the squad and would be making his debut in the Indian colors, and accompanying him will be another star raider in the face of Naveen Kumar. The fans were also elated by the fact that Pawan Sehrawat, who was suffering from an injury will be seen in the action for the first time since October 2022.
The raiding department will include the likes of Aslam Inamdar along with Mohit Goyat and star Patna Pirates do-or-die specialist Sachin. While the defending department will be led by veteran defender Surjeet Singh along with Sunil Kumar and Nitish Kumar. The Indian men’s kabaddi team is among the most successful side in the Asian Kabaddi Championships and have won seven gold medals in the last eight editions that they have played.
Also, the last edition which was held in Gorgan, Iran, in the year 2017, saw India beating Pakistan in the Final to win 36-22 and claim the championship.
