Bangladesh and New Zealand will square off in the third and final ODI at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on September 26. New Zealand defeated Bangladesh by 86 runs in the second ODI and took a 1-0 lead in the series.
New Zealand opted to bat first after winning the toss. Wicketkeeper-batter Tom Blundell scored 68 runs as New Zealand posted 254 runs. For Bangladesh, Mahedi Hasan and Khaled Ahmed claimed three-wicket hauls. Mustafizur Rahman picked up two wickets while Hasan Mahmud and Nasum Ahmed made one scalp each.
The hosts fell short against Ish Sodhi’s exceptional bowling performance. Sodhi finished with excellent figures of 6/39 as Bangladesh were bundled out for 168 runs in 41.1 overs.

Tamim Iqbal
Bangladesh opener Tamil Iqbal could be the key batter in their upcoming match against New Zealand. The former captain scored 44 off 58 deliveries, including seven boundaries in the second ODI match. The 34-year-old has so far scored 8357 runs in 243 ODIs at an average of 36.65.
Mustafizur Rahman
Mustafizur Rahman is expected to be the key bowler for Bangladesh in the forthcoming match. The star pacer has picked up two crucial wickets for 53 runs in the second ODI. He sends both New Zealand openers Finn Allen (12) and Will Young (0) back to the pavilion. In the rain-marred first ODI, he claimed a three-wicket haul.
Mahedi Hasan
The star spinner picked up three wickets in ten overs and conceded 45 runs in the second ODI match. He is expected to play a crucial role in the upcoming match as well.
