Game 11 of the ODI World Cup 2023 will feature a clash between New Zealand and Bangladesh at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday, October 13. New Zealand will be coming into the game after back-to-back wins in their last two games. On the other hand, Bangladesh won their first game of the tournament but lost their last game.

New Zealand took on the Netherlands in their last game of the World Cup. The game began with the Black Caps batting first and the side got off to a good start as Devon Conway and Will Young kicked off the innings with scores of 30 and 72 runs, respectively.

Furthemore, Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell scored 51 and 48 runs, respectively with Tom Latham adding 53 runs, New Zealand posted a total of 322 runs on the board in the first innings.

Aiming to defend the target, New Zealand put forth brilliant performances with the ball. Mitchell Santner took five wickets, with Matt Henry taking three, and Rachin Ravindra striking once as New Zealand won the game by 99 runs.

On the other hand, Bangladesh took on England in their last game of the World Cup. The match began with England coming to bat first. The side put forth a brilliant performance with the bat as Bangladesh’s bowling attack failed to contain them.

Mahedi Hasan was the highest wicket taker with four wickets, with Shoriful Islam taking three wickets, and Taskin Ahmed and Shakib Al Hasan striking once each.

The side conceded a total of 364 runs in the first innings and attempting to chase it down, Bangladesh failed to put in a good performance. Litton Das opened the innings with a score of 76 runs in 66 deliveries. However, the top-order’s collapse put the side under pressure.

Mushfiqur Rahim and Towhid Hridoy did play resilient knocks but it was not enough in the end as England defeated Bangladesh by 137 runs. As the side’s clash against New Zealand approaches, it could be interesting to see how Bangladesh will fare against the Black Caps.
