In ten years of Pro Kabbadi League’s existence, many players have become household names. The likes of Pawan Sherawat, Pardeep Narwal, and Naveen Kumar spring to mind.

Before the PKL 2023 season could begin there was a mega auction held. While many new players marked their presence in the bidding process, few missed out on selection.

In this article let us take a closer look at the 5 big names who aren’t part of the Pro Kabbadi League 2023 season.

Rahul Chaudhari

Once the poster boy of Indian Kabbadi, it is shocking to know that Rahul Chaudhari isn’t part of PKL 2023. Known for his blistering raids and effective usage of the bonus line, Rahul Chaudhari set the league on fire in the early stages. To this day, Rahul Chaudhari is one of the four raiders to score 1000 raid points in PKL history.

Surender Nada

One of the fiercest left corners in the history of the league, 36-year-old Surender Nada has fallen off the radar. His partnership with Mohit Chillar was legendary and helped him achieve fame. While he is getting on in age his defensive acumen is still the same. It was a shock when Nada went unsold thus ending his chance to play in PKL 2023.

Sandeep Narwal

The former Patna Pirates all-rounder was called a bundle of energy just for his ability to put in quick raids. Sandeep Narwal is missing the PKL 2023 season after going unsold during the auctions. As good as he was with his quick raids his anticipation, tackling and grappling techniques are also counted as one of the best in the league.

Deepak Hooda

The tall and gangly raider was known to keep his cool even under immense pressure and come out on top. Deepak Niwas Hooda was considered one of the earliest pinup boys of PKL along with Rahul Chaudhari and Ajay Thakur. It is a shock that no one has gone in for the tall raider who is adorned with a wealth of experience.

Monu Goyat

This is a very surprising choice because, at one point in time, Monu Goyat was considered a dangerous raider. Fans still remember his fabled partnership with Pardeep Narwal for Patna Pirates which helped them win successive PKL titles. After leaving the Patna franchise Monu saw his career flounder and PKL 2023 will not see the quick-footed raider.
