Veteran India wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik made a hilarious response to a random X (formerly Twitter) user after the latter shared a clip claiming that former England captain Michael Vaughan mispronounced his name as “Dennis Karthik.”
This funny incident occurred before India and England’s five-match Test series, which gets underway in Hyderabad on January 25. Karthik and Vaughan are likely to work together at the commentary box throughout the red-ball series. Over the past two years, the duo has developed a close bond being part of the commentary panel.
The user wrote on X, “Just heard Michael Vaughan pronounce Dinesh Karthik’s name as Dennis Karthik in a highlight video lmfao what evem.”
Karthik tagged Vaughan and replied, “Thanks for the new nickname.”
