In a recent interview, Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood shared insights into one of the biggest challenges he faces on the cricket field – bowling to India’s formidable batting lineup. Among the many greats in Indian cricket, Hazlewood singled out a particular batter whom he finds exceptionally tough to bowl at, shedding light on the fierce competition between Australia and India.

Josh Hazlewood names the batter he finds quite tough to bowl to

Hazlewood, known for his precision and ability to generate bounce and movement, has been a key figure in Australia’s bowling attack for several years. However, even a bowler of his caliber acknowledges that some batters stand out due to their unique playing style and resilience.

When asked to name the toughest Indian batter he has bowled to, Hazlewood did not hesitate in revealing his choice – Rohit Sharma. The Indian captain, known for his extraordinary ability to handle pressure and consistently score runs across formats, has posed numerous challenges for Hazlewood and the Australian bowling unit over the years.

“I remember one time India came out, he battled at 5 or 6 and then last time he opened. He’s faced the new ball a lot. I feel like he plays the quicks unbelievably well. The bounce doesn’t seem to worry him, the movement doesn’t,” Hazlewood said during an interview with Star Sports.

The Aussie pacer also credited Rohit for his timing and shot selection. “He’s got all the time in the world. So, I find him quite tough to bowl to.”

Hazlewood’s pace and accuracy have troubled several batters, but Rohit’s resilience and flair often see him standing firm at the crease, making their face-offs a must-watch for cricket fans.

Rohit loves playing against Australia and has amassed 3571 runs across formats, including 9 centuries.

As Australia and India continue their fierce rivalry with the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy, fans will be eager to witness more exciting duels between Hazlewood and Rohit on the field. With both players at the peak of their powers, the cricketing world can expect plenty of fireworks whenever they face off.
