The Golden State Warriors Celebrated Their NBA Championship Victory Over Boston Celtics With a Parade

The Warriors held their championship parade in downtown San Francisco Monday afternoon. Golden State Warriors are NBA champions for the fourth time in the last eight years, and now have seven titles in franchise history. 

Stephen Curry led the way in their 4-2 series win over the Boston Celtics, earning his first-ever Finals MVP. Curry finished the Finals averaging 31.2 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5.2 3-pointers made per game en route to his fourth NBA title.

For the first time since relocating from Oakland to the Chase Center in 2019, the Warriors and their fans held their championship parade through the streets of downtown San Francisco to celebrate the 2022 title. The parade was 1.4 miles long and there was no lack of excitement. 

fiery speech by Draymond Green marked the tip off, followed by goats — literally and figuratively — celebrating on the street. On Monday, it was party time throughout the Bay Area.

Following their win in Game 6 of the NBA Finals over the Boston Celtics, the Bay Area hosted their fourth championship parade in eight years. With the first four taking place in Oakland, the 2022 edition of the parade toured through the streets of San Francisco for the first time since the team moved to Chase Center in Mission Bay.

The event closed with Klay Thompson’s bus being followed by what appeared to be half of San Francisco. 

As confetti rained down on Mission Street in San Francisco, the Warriors celebrated their fourth title together in signature fashion. 

MVP chants echoed towards Steph CurryDraymond Green didn’t hold back when it came to talking trash and Klay Thompson had multiple signature moments in only the way he knows how. First-time champs like Gary Payton IIJordan Poole and Juan Toscano-Anderson also added to the party.
