Bangladesh and India will take on each other in the second ODI of the three-match series on Wednesday, July 19 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka. Bangladesh are leading the series by 1-0 as they registered a historic win over the Women in Blue in the first ODI by 40 runs.

After being put into bat first, Bangladesh got bundled out for 152 in the first innings and later restricted India to just 113 in the second. Courtesy of their win, Bangladesh are just one win away from sealing a historic series win against India. As they prepare themselves for the same, let’s take a look at the top three batters to watch out for from Bangladesh:

1. Nigar Sultana

The Bangladesh skipper played a handy knock of 39 (64) in the first ODI and held the innings together with the wickets falling continuously from the other end. The 25-year-old has scored 687 runs in 36 ODIs so far at an average of 24.53 with three fifties to her name.

2. Fargana Hoque

Fargana played an important knock of 27 (45) in the first ODI and added 49 runs for the third wicket along with captain Nigar. The 30-year-old has scored 1086 runs in her ODI career at an average of 23.60 with nine fifties to her name. She will be eager to play another important knock for her side and help them clinch the series.

3. Sharmin Akhter

The opening batter got dismissed for an 18-ball duck in the first ODI as she lost her wicket in the eighth over. The 27year-old has shown decent signs in her career so far. She has amassed 560 runs in 34 matches at an average of 16.96 with three fifties to her name. She will be eager to etch her name in the history books and lead her team to a historic series win.
