The much-awaited mega auction of the cash-rich league IPL 2025 is all set to take place in Jeddah on November 24 and 25, and the 10 franchises will hope to put in their best efforts in hopes of getting their hands on the best players in the auction.
With many sides releasing many of their stars, Royal Challengers Bengaluru only retained three players out of their entire squad. Only Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, and Yash Dayal were retained by the franchise, and the rest of the players were let go.
Let us have a look at three released RCB players who could be in high demand in the IPL 2025 mega auction:
3. Anuj Rawat
25-year-old Indian wicketkeeper batter Anuj Rawat was released by RCB ahead of the 2025 mega auction. Rawat was roped in by RCB for INR 3.4 crore in the IPL 2024 auction but was unfortunately let go ahead of the mega auction. With the amount of potential in Anuj, it is expected that many franchises would go after the star batter.
It is worth noting that the 25-year-old has played 24 IPL matches in his career so far and has scored 318 runs and maintained an average of 19.88. In the IPL 2024, Rawat played five matches for RCB and scored 98 runs in the campaign. If he is picked up by any franchise, Rawat would be raring to have a go and prove his potential to the naysayers.

2. Mohammed Siraj
Ace India pacer Mohammed Siraj was one of the most surprising exclusions on retention day. The spearhead of RCB’s bowling attack, Siraj, was let go ahead of the mega auction, and his inclusion in the auction pool could attract a plethora of bids from the franchises.
RCB roped in Siraj at the IPL 2018 Player Auction for INR 2.20 crore, and he has been one of the biggest stars for the franchise. It is worth noting that with 93 IPL matches played so far, Mohammed Siraj has taken 93 wickets and maintains an economy of 30.35 runs. If he makes it to the IPL auction pool, it is almost guaranteed that several franchises will break the bank for him.
1. Glenn Maxwell
Star Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell was yet another surprising release by Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Maxwell was roped in by RCB ahead of the IPL 2021 for a whopping sum of INR 14.25 crore. With a plethora of experience, Maxwell has played 134 IPL matches and has scored 2,771 runs so far.
Maxwell also maintains an average of 24.74 runs and has even taken 37 wickets to his name as well. Maxwell has established himself as one of the biggest stars of the sport, and his inclusion in the auction pool is expected to attract some major interest from the franchises.
