England and Ireland will square off in the third and final ODI on Tuesday, September 26, at the Gloucestershire Cricket Stadium in Bristol. England won the second ODI by 48 runs and took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Meanwhile, the opening match between both sides was called off due to persistent rain.
Speaking of the second ODI, Ireland won the toss and elected to bowl first. England opener Will Jacks (94) and Sam Hain (89) starred with the bat as the hosts posted 334 runs in 50 overs. George Dockrell was the key bowler for Ireland, picking up three wickets for 43 runs.
Later Rehan Ahmed and George Scrimshaw’s exceptional bowling performance helped England to bundle out Ireland for 286 runs in 46.4 overs. Dockrell finished the game as Ireland’s top-scorer, with 43 runs off 54 deliveries.

Paul Stirling
Ireland captain Paul Stirling is expected to be the best batter in the upcoming ODI against England. Striling, who made his ODI debut in 2008 has scored 5623 runs in 155 games at an average of 38.25. He has so far amassed 14 centuries and 28 half-centuries in the format.
George Dockrell
George Dockrell was instrumental for Ireland in the second ODI against England. The all-rounder picked up three wickets for 43 runs. The 31-year-old was outstanding with the bat as well, scoring 43 off 54 deliveries which included three boundaries and two maximums.
Craig Young
Craig Young also played a crucial role for Ireland in the previous ODI. The 33-year-old pacer has finished with excellent figures of 2/38. With the bat, he scored an unbeaten 40 off 44 balls, including two fours and as many sixes.
