Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Delhi Capitals (DC) will be locking horns with each other in the third match of the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL). The match is set to be played at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on April 1. 

LSG had an amazing season last time around as they reached the playoffs in their maiden season. DC, on the other hand, finished fifth in the IPL 2022 points table. 

LSG have managed to acquire some brilliant players for the forthcoming season. They roped in West Indies star Nicholas Pooran, Amit Mishra, and Jaydev Unadkat among others during the IPL 2023 mini-auction. 

The KL Rahul-led side will be coming into the upcoming edition with a brilliant batting line-up, having keeper-batter Quinton de Kock, Marcus Stoinis, Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, and Deepak Hooda. Notably, de Kock will miss the first match as he will join the squad later.

DC, on the other hand, will miss their skipper Rishabh Pant for the entire IPL season. Pant, who is under rehabilitation after a near-fatal car accident has been replaced by veteran Australia opener David Warner as captain. Notably, the franchise has made some brilliant additions to the squad for the upcoming edition.

DC have roped in England batter Phil Salt, Manish Pandey, and pacer Mukesh Kumar among others for the upcoming campaign. They have also acquired the services of Rilee Rossouw to strengthen their batting line-up. They will be hoping to make a winning start in the upcoming IPL.

LSG and DC are coming into the IPL 2023 with strong squads. Both teams will aim to clinch their maiden title this year.
