Faf du Plessis’ Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are all set to lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday, May 18. While the Orange Army has already been eliminated from the race for playoffs, RCB on the other hand, will need to win their remaining two group fixtures to strengthen their case for top four. Ahead of the clash, we take a look at the three players to watch out for-
Bhuvneshwar Kumar
In the previous match against Gujarat Titans, Bhuvneshwar Kumar claimed a five-wicket haul for just 30 runs in his four overs at a solid economy rate of 7.50. With the new ball, Bhuvneshwar holds the potential to get some movement and possibly get the required breakthroughs to dent the rival batting unit. He will aim to get a few more wickets in their penultimate match of the ongoing season against RCB.
Mohammed Siraj
Siraj is relishing a stupendous season in the ongoing IPL 2023 with the ball. The pacer has collected 16 wickets in 12 appearances for the franchise at a decent average economy of 7.76. In addition to this, he is also in contention for the IPL Purple Cap and will be raring to challenge SRH’s batting unit in the forthcoming clash.
Faf du Plessis
Faf du Plessis, skipper of RCB, has led the franchise by example with the bat as he is the leading run getter in the 16the edition of the top-tier league. Having scored 631 runs in 12 matches, Faf has laced it with as many as seven half-centuries in his stint thus far. The batter got 55 runs off 44 balls against Rajasthan Royals in the last match and will be gunning to maintain his purple patch in the next fixture.
