After a terrific win over Punjab Kings in their last match, Kolkata Knight Riders will be aiming to continue their winning momentum when they take on Rajasthan Royals on May 11 at the iconic Eden Gardens. On the other hand, the Sanju Samson-led side suffered a heartbreaking four-wicket defeat in its last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Overall, Rajasthan have lost five of their last six games and thus, there are a lot of issues that the team needs to work on at the moment. All of their top three – Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson finally clicked in the last match but despite that, the team couldn’t make the most of the start.

Meanwhile, middle order batter Shimrom Hetmyer looks in poor form as well and so is Devdutt Padikkal. Thus, despite being number four on the IPL points table at the moment, problems are plenty for the team.

Bowlers meanwhile have done reasonably well so far. Spin wizard Ravichandran Ashwin has picked up 14 wickets in 11 matches so far and with that, he is tenth in the IPL Purple Cap race. Even Sandeep Sharma has done tremendously well other than his no ball in the final over of the match against Hyderabad.

Kolkata meanwhile will be confident of their chances. Opener Jason Roy is on song at the moment and Rahmanullah Gurbaz has shown that he can make a massive difference in a match. Skipper Nitish Rana is also in form as he has amassed 326 runs in 11 matches so far in the competition, including his latest half-century against Punjab in the last match. Finishers like Rinku Singh and Andre Russell too looked in good shape and as things stand KKR are looking good with the bat at the moment.

When it comes to the bowlers, Harshit Rana picked up two wickets with the new ball in the last match while Varun Chakravarthy is on song at the moment. However, no one is quite sure why Shadul Thakur isn’t bowling much these days. Narine’s form might be a little bit of a concern but the team can deal with that as it has a lot of options available.
