The exhilarating action will continue in the Indian Premier League 2023 as Punjab Kings will take on Gujarat Titans in Match 18 at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali. Punjab are coming into the match having lost their previous encounter against Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets while Gujarat also lost their previous game against Kolkata Knight Riders by three wickets. 

Punjab are ranked sixth on the points table having won two out of three matches so far. They started their campaign by defeating Kolkata Knight Riders by seven runs (DLS method) in their first game and won a close game against Rajasthan Royals in their second fixture by five runs.

However, they were beaten by Sunrisers Hyderabad in their third game as they failed to defend a total of 143 and lost the match by eight wickets. Captain Shikhar Dhawan has been in sublime form for PBKS as the southpaw has scored 225 runs in three innings at a strike rate of 149.00. With the ball, Arshdeep Singh has picked the most wickets for PBKS having six scalps to his name at an average of 14.33.

On the other hand, Gujarat Titans started their campaign with a five-wicket win against Chennai Super Kings in the curtain raiser of the season and further defeated Delhi Capitals by six wickets in their second fixture. However, they ended up losing the third game against Kolkata Knight Riders by three wickets despite having it under their control.

Sai Sudharsan has been in great form for GT as he’s scored 137 runs in two innings at an average of 68.50 with two half-centuries to his name. Rashid Khan has been the pick of the bowlers having picked up eight wickets at an average of 11.75 and an economy of 7.83.

The match between PBKS and GT promises to be a mouth-watering clash as both teams will be eager to put their best foot forward to beat each other and get back to winning ways.
