The wait for the Royal Challengers Bangalore to clinch their first-ever IPL title just doesn’t seem to end. In the 15-year-long history of the tournament, the Bangalore-based franchise has reached the final of the tournament thrice but has failed to get its hands on the coveted title. With the 16th edition of the tournament scheduled to get underway on March 31, RCB will look to finally break the jinx and gift their fans their first IPL trophy:
Rajat Patidar
The 29-year-old had a magnificent IPL season in 2022 as he scored 333 runs in eight matches at an average of 55.50 and a strike rate of 152.75 with one hundred and two fifties to his name. He became the first Indian to score a hundred in the knockout stages of the IPL as he smacked 112* off just 54 balls against Lucknow Giants in the Eliminator of 2022.
He further played a brilliant knock of 58 off 42 balls in Qualifier 2 which went in vain as RCB were knocked out of the competition. Patidar will look to put up another sensational performance this year.
Finn Allen
The Kiwi star has played several memorable knocks in his short career of 28 T20Is scoring one hundred and two fifties. He was bought for the first time at the mega auction of 2022 but is yet to make his IPL debut. The 23-year-old will look to give explosive starts to his team in the upcoming season as and when presented with an opportunity.
Harshal Patel
The 33-year-old created history in the 2021 season as he matched the tally for the most wickets in a single season of the Indian Premier League picking up 32 wickets in 15 matches at an average of 14.34.
The right-arm seamer had a good season in 2022 as he picked up 19 wickets at an average of 21.58 and an economy of 7.66. Patel will look to put up another remarkable performance in the upcoming season and help his side win their first title.
