The four-time champions Chennai Super Kings will be eager to make a turnaround in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League as they start their campaign against Gujarat Titans on March 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The second most successful franchise of the tournament finished on the second last (ninth) position on the points table with just eight points to their name.

Led by MS Dhoni in the upcoming season, the Chennai-based franchise will look to put up an improved performance and live up to its reputation in the league. As CSK prepare themselves for another action-packed season, let’s take a look at the three uncapped players to watch out for from their side:

Prashant Solanki

The 23-year-old was bought for a whopping INR 1.20 crore at the mega auction in 2022. The talented wrist spinner played two matches in 2022 and ended up with picking two wickets at an average of 19 and an economy of 6.33. Solanki will hope for more opportunities in the upcoming season and look to put up impactful performances for his side.

Tushar Deshpande

The Mumbai-born seamer was picked at a base price of INR 20 Lakh by CSK. Deshpande has been a consistent performer in the domestic circuit. He made his IPL debut in the 2020 season and picked up three wickets in five matches. In the 43 T20 matches that he has played he has picked up 62 wickets at an average of 20.59.

Subhranshu Senapati

The Orissa-born batter was bought for his base price of INR 20 Lakh at the mega auction in 2022. Senapati leads Orissa in two formats and was the leading run-scorer for his side in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021-22.
