The Indian Premier League 2023 has been an exhilarating affair as fans have got to witness several incredible moments during the tournament. The fans have been treated with numerous memorable encounters as the league stage of the tournament has drawn to a close. 

A total of 70 matches were played in the league stage and all ten teams gave their all to seal a spot in the top four. As the tournament moves towards the playoffs, let’s take a look at the top three moments from the league stage:

1. Rinku Singh’s five sixes

The KKR batter etched his name in the history books as he smacked five consecutive sixes against Yash Dayal and scripted an improbable win for his side. Rinku set the record for the most number of runs scored in the final over of IPL to win a match and became an overnight sensation.

2. Yashasvi Jaiswal’s fastest fifty

The 21-year-old also entered record books as he scored the fastest fifty in IPL history reaching the landmark in just 13 balls. Jaiswal surpassed Pat Cummins and KL Rahul who had achieved the feat in 14 balls. The RR opener remained unbeaten on 98* off 47 balls and helped his side chase down the target of 150 in 13.1 overs.

3. Batters from both teams scoring individual hundreds in the same game (Virat Kohli and Heinrich Klaasen, SRH vs RCB Match 65)

For the first time in the history of the tournament batters from both teams scored a hundred in the same game as Virat Kohli and Heinrich Klaasen lit up Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad with their sensational tons. Batting first, Klaasen played a scintillating innings of 104 off 51 balls with the help of eight fours and six sixes in his innings.

In the second innings, Kohli played a stupendous knock of 100 off 63 balls smashing 12 fours and four sixes in his innings to help his side chase down the target of 187 in 19.2 overs.
