The Chennai Super Kings fans, Vinay Gupta and Nikhil Gupta’s magnificent mural featuring legendary skipper MS Dhoni has garnered a lot of affection and love on various social media platforms. Notably, the duo designed the image in which the 41-year-old is lifting the stumps after winning a game. The video of the same has already gone viral with more than six million views.
Meanwhile, despite multiple reports, ‘Captain cool’ as Dhoni is popularly known, denied retiring after the conclusion of IPL 2023. The cricketer however clarified that he has at least eight to nine months to decide how his body feels and will only take a call about his retirement after that. On the other hand, the Ranchi-born player went on to win his fifth IPL trophy as captain and with that, he became the joint-most successful skipper in the history of the competition.
Notably, after the completion of the cash-rich league, Dhoni travelled to Mumbai for knee surgery. He was troubled by the same for the majority part of the competition but nevertheless continued without taking any break as he went on score 104 runs in 16 matches at a whopping strike rate of 182.45. Behind the stumps, he was lightning quick as usual and thus, there’s a sense of optimism among the fans that the legendary cricketer will definitely recover on time and play all the matches in the 17th edition of the IPL.

On the other hand, this is not the first time when fans created murals, pictures or even changed the colours of their house to support MS Dhoni. Ahead of the last edition of the IPL, the streets in Chennai and in Chepauk were filled with multiple murals of the cricketer. Fans across the globe shared hand-made drawings of the cricketer on various social media platforms and many of which went viral during the course of the tournament. The Thala of Tamil Nadu enjoys a lot of popularity and thus, fans are eager to see him back next season.
