With ten runs required in the last two deliveries, Chennai Super Kings were on the back foot as Mohit Sharma was bowling brilliantly in the middle. However, in the final two balls, the pacer failed to hit the length as Ravindra Jadeja hit a brilliant six in the penultimate delivery and a four in the last ball of the match to secure CSK’s fifth IPL title in history.
Meanwhile, Mohit, who bowled brilliantly throughout the course of the season, got all emotional after the game as skipper Hardik Pandya came close and hugged him in order to calm him down. Notably, the cricketer picked up three wickets on the night of the finals and was looking brilliant before Jadeja wreaked havoc in the middle.
