Anushka Sharma, Bollywood actress and wife of star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, was once again spotted cheering for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium during their thumping win over the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the ongoing IPL 2024. This time, her post-match celebration in the stands has taken the internet by storm.
An emphatic win for RCB
RCB dominated the game played on their home ground, defeating DC by a convincing margin of 47 runs.
A partnership of 88 runs for the third wicket between Rajat Patidar (scoring 52 runs off 32 balls) and Will Jacks (adding 41 runs from 29 balls) propelled RCB to a total of 187 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs, after being asked to bat first.
In response, DC’s Jake Fraser-McGurk made a brisk start as usual, but despite his efforts, wickets continued to fall at regular intervals. Swapnil Singh dismissed David Warner cheaply, while Abhishek Porel failed to find his form with the bat, falling early to Yash Dayal. The young Australian batting sensation McGurk suffered an unfortunate run-out off the bowler’s hand. Stand-in captain Axar Patel fought valiantly with a fifty, but the lack of support from the other end, coupled with regular wickets, saw RCB emerge victorious in the end.
