In a concerning development, Gujarat Titans‘ rising star, Robin Minz, finds himself in a precarious situation following a road accident on Saturday. The incident has left the young cricketer injured and is currently under observation.
Details of the Accident
According to a report in News 18, Robin was riding his Kawasaki superbike when it collided with another bike, leading to a loss of control. The collision resulted in injuries to Robin, primarily bruises on his right knee, while his bike suffered severe damage.
Father provides update
Francis Minz, Robin’s father, who serves as a security guard at the Ranchi airport, provided insights into the incident. He confirmed that while the situation isn’t critical, Robin remains under observation for any further complications.
“He lost control when his bike came in contact with another bike. Nothing serious at the moment and he is currently under observation,” said Francis.

Notably, Robin etched his name in the Indian Premier League (IPL) history books during the auction for the 2024 season. His acquisition marked a significant milestone as he became the first player from the Adivasi community to secure a spot in the lucrative league. The Titans’ investment in Robin amounted to a staggering INR 3.60 crore.
Awaiting clarity on IPL preparations
Hailing from Shimal village in Jharkhand’s Gumla district, Robin recently returned home after an impressive performance for Jharkhand in the U23 Col CK Nayudu Trophy quarter-final against Karnataka, where he scored an outstanding 137 runs.
Regarding his participation in the Titans’ pre-season camp leading up to IPL 2024, it remains uncertain whether there will be any delay, adding to the anticipation surrounding his recovery and future engagements.
