Prowess and price tag
Pooran, secured for a hefty INR 16 crore in the 2023 auction, etched his name as the most expensive wicketkeeper purchase in IPL history. His explosive batting prowess was evident in the IPL 2023 season, amassing 358 runs at a staggering strike rate of nearly 173.
LSG’s past glory and aspirations ahead
In the previous season, LSG showcased commendable performance, registering 8 wins in 15 matches during IPL 2023. Despite the absence of Rahul due to injury towards the season’s end, the team clinched a respectable fourth position. With now Rahul and Pooran at the helm, LSG will aim to build on past successes and emerge as strong contenders for the IPL 2024 championship title. The combination of Rahul’s strategic acumen and Pooran’s explosive batting style adds a formidable edge to the team’s prospects, setting the stage for an exciting season.
