Mumbai Indians (MI) were knocked out of the playoffs race in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The five-time champions had a disappointing season, enduring 9 defeats in 13 games. Led by Hardik Pandya, the team will play a dead rubber match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Wankhede Stadium on Friday.
With little at stake, MI players are enjoying their time in the lucrative league, engaging in light-hearted activities to lift their spirits. One such instance was witnessed in the Mumbai camp when Ishan Kishan and Tim David were seen indulging in a fun-filled wrestling match.
Ishan Kishan goes one-on-one against Tim David
MI shared a humorous video on social media featuring their players wrestling each other. The footage captured Ishan and David grappling with each other. Utilizing his shorter stature to his advantage, Ishan targeted David’s legs, resisting being taken down. The wicketkeeper-batter managed to drag the Australian player for a distance before both players fell to the ground. The video concluded with Ishan declaring himself the winner, flashing a smile and pumping his fist in celebration. MI captioned the video with a funny warning to not try this act at home.

Last hope for Lucknow Super Giants
The upcoming match against Mumbai marks Lucknow’s final league stage fixture. Currently positioned at seventh on the points table, LSG must secure a convincing victory in this game to keep their playoff hopes alive. A defeat in this crucial match would eliminate them from the tournament. Even if the team led by KL Rahul triumphs over MI, their chances of finishing in the top four will depend on the outcomes of other teams’ games.
