Fraser-McGurk’s innings commenced with a glorious six off Warrier’s delivery, followed by a beautifully timed boundary two balls later. He continued his assault against Spencer Johnson, his Australian counterpart, smashing him for a six and a four. However, Fraser-McGurk’s innings was cut short as Johnson dismissed him on the last ball of his over. He played a excellent knock of 20 runs off just 9 balls as provided his side a outstanding start.

The dismissal of Fraser-McGurk provided a glimmer of hope for Gujarat, especially as Sandeep Warrier swiftly followed it up with the dismissals of Prithvi Shaw and Abhishek Porel.
