De Kock’s ton powers Barbados Royals to the top

Barbados Royals clinched a 32-run victory over Guyana Amazon Warriors in the 16th match of CPL 2024, thanks to a brilliant century from Quinton de Kock. His 115 off 68 balls helped Royals post a mammoth total of 205/6 on the scoreboard. Jason Holder‘s late flourish (28 not out off 10 balls) provided valuable support.

In reply, Amazon Warriors struggled to keep up with the required run rate and were eventually restricted for 173/5. Left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj was the pick of the bowlers for the Royals with 3/42, while Holder claimed two scalps while conceded 32 runs. With this win, the Royals have moved to the top of the table, having 8 points in 5 matches.
