India A Women lifted the ACC Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026 trophy after a commanding 46-run victory over Bangladesh A Women in the final at Terdthai Cricket Ground. After opting to bat first, India A Women posted a competitive 134/7 in 20 overs and then produced a disciplined bowling display to bundle out Bangladesh A Women for 88 in 19.1 overs.

Tejal Hasabnis propels India A to a competitive total

The innings did not begin on a fluent note for India A Women. Nandini Kashyap struggled for rhythm and departed for 8 off 15 balls, while Vrinda Dinesh looked positive during her 19 off 17 deliveries, striking four boundaries before falling. Anushka Sharma also found it difficult to accelerate, scoring 8 from 12 balls, and Minnu Mani was dismissed for a first-ball duck, leaving India A Women under pressure in the middle overs.

The momentum shifted decisively thanks to a superb knock from Tejal Hasabnis. The right-hander played with confidence and composure, scoring a brilliant 51 off just 34 balls, including three fours and two sixes. Her calculated aggression ensured India A Women rebuilt strongly after early setbacks. Radha Yadav provided crucial support with a valuable 36 off 30 deliveries, striking three fours and a six. The duo stitched together a vital partnership that steadied the innings and lifted the scoring rate in the latter half. Although wickets fell at the death, India A Women managed to close at 134/7, a total that proved more than sufficient in a high-stakes final.

For Bangladesh A Women, Fahima Khatun was the standout performer with the ball. She claimed impressive figures of 4/25 in her four overs, consistently breaking partnerships and preventing India A Women from running away with the game. Fatema Jahan Sonia and Farjana Easmin chipped in with one wicket each, but the bowlers lacked consistent support at crucial moments.

India A bowlers seal the deal with clinical performance

Chasing 135 for the title, Bangladesh A Women needed a steady start but were rocked early. Ishma Tanjim fell for just 3, and although Shamima Sultana counterattacked with a brisk 20 off 15 balls, including three boundaries, India A Women kept striking at regular intervals.

Sultana tried to anchor the innings with an 18 off 30 balls, but the required rate kept climbing as wickets tumbled at the other end. Sadia Akter added 10, and Fahima attempted a late push with 14 off 11 balls, yet Bangladesh A Women never truly threatened the target.

India A Women’s bowling unit worked in perfect harmony. Prema Rawat was exceptional, returning figures of 3/12 in her four overs and dismantling the middle order. Tanuja Kanwar impressed with 2/11 in 3.1 overs, applying relentless pressure. Sonia Mendhiya also contributed with two wickets, while Saima Thakor, Minnu Mani, and Radha picked up one wicket each to ensure there was no escape route for the opposition. Bangladesh A Women were eventually bowled out for 88 in 19.1 overs, handing India A Women a comprehensive 46-run victory.
