Jadeja
After Team India’s dominant performance against South Africa in the 37th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, the standout player of the day was birthday boy Virat Kohli. He achieved a remarkable feat by scoring a century and, in the process, equalled the legendary Sachin Tendulkar’s record for the most centuries in One Day Internationals. When asked about his thoughts on the celebration following this historic milestone and the possibility of Virat surpassing the little master’s record, Ravindra Jadeja responded with a playful tone, saying,
“There’s no celebration as such, as of now. Look, whatever the 49 and 50 we are talking about, it’s falling on the same plate. Let it go as its going, it’s a happy occasion, and the World Cup is happening in India. So, whatever records get broken whether it may be in runs or wickets, its eventually good for us. ‘Nazar Mat Lagana’ (Don’t cast an evil eyes)” Jadeja said at press conference.
