This is largely intended to ensure that sightlines for broadcast cameras remain clear and that high-value sponsorship boards are not obscured by ‘casually lounging’ athletes.

These updates reinforce existing regulations, specifically Clause 11.5.2 (regulating efficient drinks delivery) and Clause 24.1.4 (mandating the use of training bibs). By tightening these protocols, the BCCI aim to curb time-wasting and maintain a professional aesthetic that aligns with the league’s global status.
