The 31-year-old speedster had been undergoing rehabilitation at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru after sustaining a back injury during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in January. Due to the injury, he missed MI’s first four matches of the season.
Mumbai Indians have sorely missed their bowling spearhead, managing just one win—against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)—while suffering defeats to Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
