New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has unveiled the details for the 2024-25 home season, outlining an exciting schedule for both the men’s and women’s cricket teams. The announcement includes tours by England, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan, setting the stage for a thrilling season of cricket.

Blackcaps to begin campaign against England

The New Zealand men’s team will kick off their home season with a three-Test series against England. This will be the only Test series played on New Zealand soil this summer and marks the end of a busy stretch of nine Tests for the team, following away matches against Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and India.

After the England series, New Zealand will host Sri Lanka for the T20Is and ODIs from late December to mid-January. Following the battle against the Islanders, the team will travel to Pakistan for an ODI tri-series, which will serve as a preparatory event for the Champions Trophy starting on February 19. The season will conclude with New Zealand hosting Pakistan for five T20Is and three ODIs in late March and early April, overlapping with the IPL 2025.

White Ferns to kick off home season against Australia

The New Zealand women’s team will begin their home season with a three-ODI series against Australia at the Basin Reserve just before Christmas. This series will be followed by three T20Is against Australia in late March.

Following Australia’s visit, the Sri Lanka women’s team will tour New Zealand for a six-match series in March. This series includes three ODIs and as many T20Is.
