Ramandeep Singh makes his T20I debut for India

Ramandeep Singh made his T20I debut for India in the third T20I against South Africa at Centurion’s SuperSport Park on Wednesday, November 13. The 27-year-old all-rounder received his debut cap from star player Hardik Pandya, marking a significant milestone in his cricketing career.

Ramandeep Singh’s cricketing journey

Ramandeep has been a rising star in the cricketing circuit, especially after his impressive performances during the IPL 2024 season with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), where he played a crucial role in their title-winning campaign. He batted brilliantly for the Knight Riders, scoring 125 runs at a remarkable strike rate of over 201 in just 14 matches. His ability as a finisher and his contributions with the ball made him an attractive prospect for the national team.

Prior to his debut, Ramandeep showcased his skills in various domestic tournaments, including the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and the Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024, where he consistently performed well, earning recognition from selectors.

Changes in India’s playing XI for the third T20I

In this match, Ramandeep replaced Avesh Khan in India’s playing XI.

“We have one change – Ramandeep makes his debut. Avesh has done well for us but one of the two bowlers had to make a sacrifice,” India captain Suryakumar Yadav said after losing the loss.

“We have done well in the last two games while batting first. The boys have come out with clear plans and are executing it, I have been really happy with that,” he added.
